Organisers of the Sutton Coldfield town centre Expo are recommending those wishing to take part in 2016 get in touch early with the event looking to be a sell-out.

The Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID, which is responsible for the Expo, believes that this year’s event, the seventh to take place, is set to be the biggest on record.

The Expo is a one-day event, which will take place on Saturday, 24th September between 9:00 and 17:00 on the Parade. Throughout the day local charities, organisations and businesses will able to promote themselves and engage with local people, giving residents the chance to find out more about the variety of things to do and support in their hometown.

Mike Bushell, BID Manager, said: "We’re on track to beat last year’s 36 exhibitors already, but spaces for this year’s event are being snapped up quickly, so we advise people to get in touch sooner than later if they would like their organisation to attend.

“The Expo is a great example of the community spirit that exists in Sutton Coldfield and something the BID is especially proud to be involved in and able to support year after year.”

Last year’s Expo included a live stage at the event with music, dance and demonstrations from local groups including dance troop Body Beat and Pilate and Yoga experts Pilates Lounge. There were musical performances from the Town Hall Symphony Hall and the Brit Youth Theatre.

Businesses, community organisations, charities and sports clubs that would like to attend in 2016 should contact the BID to register their interest at info@suttoncoldfieldtowncentre.co.uk.
