There’s no need to don wellies and stand in lots of mud for your music fix this summer as Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID announces plans for the town’s first Month of Music.

The BID is set to announce the launch date of its talent search in the coming weeks, calling on stars, soloists and bands to be part of the town’s first ever music event.

Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID manager, comments: “The BID has long had plans to create Sutton Coldfield’s very own music event and this year will see this dream finally realised!

“There is already a thriving live music scene here in the town centre and we’re looking forward to taking this to the next level throughout July with a month of non-stop celebrations.

“We are currently pulling together a jam-packed schedule of acts to perform across the month, and there’s a little bit of everything in the mix from acoustic and pop to jazz and soul, which is really exciting! We look forward to announcing details of the full line up soon.”

Month of Music will run throughout July with a series of musical festivities, pop up performances, shows and entertainment taking place in different locations across the town centre.

The celebration will also coincide with the popular Birmingham and Solihull Jazz and Blue Festival, which takes place from 14th – 23rd July 2017 and The Three Tuns annual music extravaganza Tuns Fest which will round off the town’s musical event on Saturday 29th July.

Details of how artists can get involved and a full line up of all the events and supporting locations will be announced shortly.
