Royal Sutton Coldfield’s sixth EXPO event saw the town centre filled with people, as the annual ‘matchmaking’ service for Sutton’s organisations and residents once again took over the Parade.

The one-day event, which took place on Saturday 26th September, saw 36 charities, sports clubs, groups and businesses from the local area meet with Sutton residents to talk about what they do.

Exhibitors included the Made in Sutton Arts Forum, Sutton Civic Society, Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce, Pilates Lounge, A-Plan Insurance, and Aston and Erdington Photographic Society.

This year’s event saw music, dance and demonstrations from local groups including dance troop Body Beat and pilates and yoga experts Pilates Lounge.

There were performances from the Town Hall and Symphony Hall’s ‘Concert on your Doorstep’ and Brit Youth Theatre’s megamix of songs from the musical Grease.

Mike Bushell comments: "We’re once again thrilled with the success of this year’s Expo. It’s always been a popular event in Sutton Coldfield and a great example of how the BID is working with the widest variety of stakeholders to enhance the town experience.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to all the organisations involved and to everybody who came along to enjoy what was a great day for the Sutton community.”
