This weekend's EXPO exhibition in Sutton Coldfield town centre is a sell-out according to the organisers.

Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID manager reports that 36 local charities, organisations and businesses – including Made in Sutton Arts Forum, Sutton Civic Society, Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce, Pilates Lounge and Aston and Erdington Photographic Society - have confirmed their attendance.

The one day event, which will take place this Saturday between 9:00 and 17:00 on the Parade, aims to give those providing a valuable service in the town an opportunity to promote themselves and engage with local people – and for Sutton residents the chance to find out more about the variety of things to do and support in their home town.

There will be a live stage at the event with music, dance and demonstrations from local groups including dance troop Body Beat and Pilate and Yoga experts Pilates Lounge. Performances will include Town Hall Symphony Hall’s ‘Concert on your Doorstep’ and Brit Youth Theatre’s megamix of songs from Grease.

Empire Cinema will be showcasing previews of upcoming feature films and A-Plan Insurance are showcasing a classic car.

Mike Bushell comments: "Expo has always been popular but this its sixth year looks set to be better than ever. It’s brilliant to see so many organisations snap up spaces for the event, and we’re sure there’ll be a real buzz around the town centre on Saturday.

“The response is very encouraging and shows a genuine enthusiasm in and for the town. We’re very much looking forward to the event - and are of course praying for good weather!”

And that’s not all, this weekend is also people’s last chance to see The Big Hoot owls located here in the town centre before they are removed and prepared for auction.
