Rewards In Sutton Coldfield, locally known as the Sutton Card, is a town centre rewards card scheme launched by the BID in 2014. Sutton Card operates within the BID area giving local workers and residents the opportunity to earn rewards and receive exclusive offers & deals from shops, eateries and businesses within the town centre. The scheme encourages those living and working in Sutton Coldfield to support their local town.


How does it work?


The scheme is designed to be accessible to everyone. Join the scheme with a free Sutton Card or register a Rewarding Visits account on a mobile by visiting

It is free to become a Sutton Cardbusiness and as a result of BID funding & support it is also free for businesses within the BID area to join the scheme for free – a key part of the BID’s commitment towards the creation of a more prosperous and vibrant town centre.

Over 6,000 Sutton Cards are now registered, and in excess of 22,000 rewards and vouchers have been earned since launch. Over 50 independent and chain businesses in the town centre are now rewarding their customers’ visits, including Pizza Express, House of Fraser, Rymans, Patisserie Valerie, Empire Cinema, The Bottle of Sack, Thorntons, The Fragrance Shop plus many more including independents and specialist retailers!


Who operates the scheme?


Rewards in Sutton Coldfield was developed by a Sutton Coldfield-based business - Rewarding Visits who have attracted national attention: the early success of the initiative has led to Rewarding Visits receiving interest from Innovate UK, a government investment fund, to pioneer a ‘digital high street’ here in Sutton Coldfield.

Rewarding Visits offer marketing & technical support, digital advertising, voucher set up and any advice required by businesses to promote their offers.  Again this is provided for FREE to BID area businesses!


Now Launched!

This summer there were exciting developments for Sutton Card users.  Three Voucher Touchpoints were installed in busy town centre places: The Gracechurch Centre, Wetherspoons’ The Bottle of Sack and The Empire Cinema. This will provide a free and unique opportunity for retailer in the BID area to advertise and dispense Vouchers to over 150,000 passing shoppers - every week.




These vouchers are “intelligent” vouchers, because a customer scanning their card and redeeming an offer at any Voucher Touchpoint, will be recorded in the same way as if they had scanned their card or app at the point of sale.  This allows businesses to continue to build a digital marketing club of local customers and effectively market offers and promotions to them.  Retailers with national promotions can simply add them to the Voucher Touchpoint too, reaching over 6,000 town centre card holders.
